Finally

Today, Friday, four full days since the hurricane struck early Monday, troops, water, food, security and buses for evacuation rolled into downtown New Orleans. There are still thousands left on roof tops yet to be rescued. Unbelievable. Dubya is visiting Mobile, Biloxi, and NO today. He is such a goofus. He can't put two sentences together. In Biloxi, two young looking women rushed up to him for a hug and got one. He stood there with his arms on their shoulders with that goofy oh-so-concerned look on his face. You could hear a bit of the conversation...something about going to the Salvation Army to get clothes or FEMA will get you a place to stay. Yeah, but where is FEMA and how are they going to get to the SalArmy? Platitudes, condesention, ignorance. Dubya is now in NO doing the tour. I'm very eager to see if he will hug and walk with his arms around some poor old black lady who has been wading in sewage water and sitting in the heat for four days? I've been riveted to CNN and reading the blogs on the internet. Some very dramatic stuff by people who have been there and done that. Many of the political blogs have commented about the interview Anderson Cooper had with the Louisiana senator, Mary Landrineau, and her over and over again thanking the President while Cooper reminded her that rats were eating on dead bodies in the streets of NO. "Don't you people get it?" Cooper actually yelled at her. She just continued to thank the big politicos for their help. How ridiculous.
